Body Acupuncture

Most treatments in acupuncture uses body acupuncture points.

Throughout the body there is a system of meridians or channels which have a flow of energy or Qi in them. These meridians are like rivers with smaller tributaries and this creates a network so that Qi can reach all parts of the body.

An acupuncture point is an access point to the Qi. It is like a vortex of energy. There is often a low level electrical resistance at these points. There are some 365 traditional points each one of which will have a specific set of uses. Having said that there are 365 points there are a lot of new points too which can bring the total to several hundred more.
