Anne Etherton Acupuncture is open for urgent care and high needs during the January 2021 lockdown
The British Acupuncture Council and Register of Chinese Herbal medicine have reviewed the legislation and like in the November 2020 we are still open for urgent care and high needs.
It is down to individual professional judgement who fits into the category of Urgent Care and high needs. This can depend on whether the patient is likely to require further medication or see a GP if they weren’t treated until after the lockdown. A consideration could also be whether their treatment is time dependant such as in IVF cases. Anything affecting mental health and the maintenance of chronic pain etc could be seen as High Needs.
It is on a case by case judgement and reasons for treatment will be recorded in the patients notes.
Please get in touch if you are not sure whether to attend your appointment but you will be contacted to discuss prior to you attending. For new enquiries please make contact as normal and we can discuss your needs.
